Writer's Workshop- Legacy Project

Today in class we began Writer's Workshop, with the goal to have a pre-write by the end of class (if not completed- at least in progress).  Students worked independently on organizing their research notes into topics that will eventually become paragraphs.  Some students used part of their Writer's Workshop time to continue researching as well.  While students worked independently, I met with students one-on-one to conference about the project and help in the writing process.

I will discuss next steps for the project with the class tomorrow.  For homework the rest of the week, students will be finishing their research notes and pre-write.  The goal for next Tuesday's Writer's Workshop is to start a first draft in class using the completed research notes and completed pre-write!
